Job Description Job Description The Senior Quality Control Inspector - Fabrication uses the applicable procedures, codes and standards to perform quality inspections and tests on the applicable discipline to determine the acceptability of the work.
The QC Inspector ensures the contracted deliverables and quality standards are met through the audit process.
Minimum Requirements:
o Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience required (a combination of operations, quality, construction or project experience preferred).
o Strong experience in Mechanical/Piping/Fabrication Inspection o Experience with Industrial Construction and/or Fabrication experience o Minimum of College Diploma/Certification required.
o Professional designation preferred.
o Journeyman/Trade Certification would be an asset.
o Welding/Mechanical Inspector with Fabrication experience o Strong understanding of International Codes and Standards of the applicable discipline.
ASME VIII CWI and API o Intermediate Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Projects, Outlook and Excel)
Responsibilities:
o Responsible for the timely execution of the project construction quality control activities within the applicable discipline.
Ensures the inspection documentation is completed within the designated timeline.
o Assists in the development and implementation of the quality control protocol for the discipline quality team members.
o Ensures all required quality documents are compiled for turnover packages in order to meet project deadlines and schedules.
o Ensures the project quality inspection and test plan requirements are followed, signed off both internally and by the Client.
o Involved with the Nonconformance Report (NCR) and rework reporting system and work trend analysis.
o Ensures responses to internal personnel and Client questions are addressed in regards to NCRs, Corrective Action Report (CARs), Quality Surveillance Report (QSRs), and Preventative Action Reports (PARs) o Prepare and participate in the Clients Audit of Flint's Construction and Quality of the project deliverables.
o Reviews the Construction Work Package (CWP) to fully understand the project deliverables.
o Assist in the development and support of the project's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including regular reporting to the Construction Management Team and to the function.
o Participates in the lessons learned process and drive proposed changes that will enhance the projects success.
