The Field Technician position is responsible for the initial setup of high speed Internet service for customers.
This position also troubleshoots and repairs high speed wireless Internet service for customers.
The Field Technician is part of the team that actively maintains the company's network infrastructure including wired and wireless backhaul and distribution; installation of new distribution access points and preventative maintenance of Internet Protocol (IP) network components.
The Field Technician is also responsible for the basic maintenance of Company equipment and an assigned vehicle, as well as proactive monitoring and correction of network related issues.
Must be able to climb towers.
oOne (1) year in a related customer and/or technical support and/or operations/engineering role required oExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills oProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Streets and Trips, Micropath and other job related software oBasic working knowledge of RF wireless technologies and product; wireless planning, design and deployment processes oBasic understanding of IP networking oCustomer service oriented with passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving operational excellence; ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, internal and external customers oAbility to analyze and define problems; calculate figures and amounts; prioritize work flow, multitask, meet deadlines and remain flexible
