Summary:
The Supply Driver is responsible for transporting oilfield products, tools, and equipment from the Company's warehouse facility to customers and job sites.
Their duties include loading goods, using navigation tools to arrive at the right location, and delivering supplies safely and promptly.
There is an area of opportunity to cross-train into an Outside Sales position as the employer sees fit with compensation reflection.
Outside Sales Representatives will play a key role in communicating the Company's products and services to drive sales by managing and negotiating with clients.
Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily:
Deliver a wide variety of items to different locations and through different routes.
Follow routes and time schedule.
Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle.
Maintain basic maintenance of delivery vehicles.
Provide excellent customer service when delivering.
Handle any inquiries and escalate as needed.
Complete all workplace safety and health training as required and practice safe behaviors & workplace practices.
Potentially cross-train into a sales position as the employer sees fit.
On-the-job training provided and further duties will be assigned upon training completion.
Performs other related duties as directed.
Qualifications:
To perform the job successfully, the requirements representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required include the following:
Education/Certification:
A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience with a clean driving record.
Capability to function the required technology to ensure job completion, such as navigational technology, or record-keeping platforms.
Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Clear understanding of customer service requirements and skills needed to comply with the Company's standards.
Aptness to problem solve situations and obtaining time management skills to certify timely deliveries.
Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
Adaptability to the Company's needs to achieve goals.
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
Normal operating conditions could be during the day/night, in outdoor hot/cold weather, and/or wet conditions.
Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate but may be loud at times.
The employee is required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and see and operate a vehicle.
Employee will frequently be standing, stepping, lifting, climbing, overhead reaching, pushing, pulling, balancing, kneeling, crawling, and bending.
Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
