Summary:
Under the supervision of the Unit Director or designee, assists in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing unit by performing clerical, receptionist, coordination duties, patient care, and maintaining the physical environment of the area.
This position also conducts registration and obtains financial information for all patients accessing services at Medical Center Health System Center for Women and Infants.
Reviews all account information to optimize collection efforts and system recording events to expedite reimbursement and compliance; resolves issues as they arise to promote point of service decisions.
Explains and obtains signatures on legal forms and registration materials.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Patient Care Assistant or CNA certification preferred.
Training and
Experience:
:
1.
Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or transfer to department.
2.
Prior experience in medical field preferred.
(Knowledge of but not limited to admitting/registration process, customer service, receivables management, credit and collection laws, billing forms, medical billing regulations, insurance benefit calculations, HMO/PPO contracts, third party funding resources preferred).
TTT Job Knowledge:
Requires strong organizational abilities, proficiency in Professional Customer Service, oral and written communications, accurate and efficient keyboarding with strong competencies in the use of common office software applications.
Requires effective teamwork skills and the ability to meet deadlines and productivity standards Location:
Medical Center Health System Labor & Delivery Schedule:
PRN, Evening Shift, 3pm 11pm.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
