Assist in the supervision of the Facilities Departments Primary Purpose:
To assist the Executive Director of District Operations in the management of the District Operations Division with specific responsibilities in the area of the facilities, school nutrition, transportation, custodial services and energy management.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred Special Knowledge Skills:
Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills and extensive experience in conflict resolution.
Ability to interpret policy, procedures, building codes and laws as related to divisional responsibilities.
Working knowledge of the principles of construction and energy management and related systems.
Understanding of District demographics, school attendance zones, and related data and processes.
Ability to desegregate data as required in order to make recommendations in the operations of the District.
Experience:
Five years' experience in managing/supervising personnel.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist ensuring that each division is supportive of the instructional goals of the district.
Page 1 of 2 Establish and recommend priorities for facilities, school nutrition, transportation, custodial services, and related projects.
Ensure all departments and programs are cost effective and funds are managed prudently.
Compile budgets and cost estimates based on documented program needs.
Examine school district facilities on a regular basis to assess the need for repairs and routine maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Assist in the supervision of Divisional Directors and staff Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress.
Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
