Summary:
The Store Manager is responsible for the entire store's operation and inventory levels.
Scope of Responsibility:
Job duties include but are not limited to ensuring the store is operated in compliance with all company policies and procedures while applying them consistently along with federal, state and local laws and regulations; safeguarding all company assets; having a thorough knowledge of all opening and closing procedures along with all day-to-day operations of the store.
The Store Manager is also responsible for training and directing store personnel to maintain an appropriate level of customer service and timely completion of all assigned tasks.
All paperwork should be neat, accurate and completed in a timely manner.
This job requires promptness and dependability along with a professional attitude at all times and setting the standard for the performance of all personnel.
Principal Duties/Responsibities:
1.
Oversees operation of store.
2.
Assists customers (in-store and telephone) with purchase selections and inquiries.
3.
Supervises and coaches sales clerks and lead clerks.
4.
Receives and/or stocks (as the need arises) incoming shipments for store.
5.
Communicates to Market Manager any violations of company policy or governmental laws.
6.
Completes sales paperwork including:
register check-ups, Accounting Report, Receiving Report, Bank deposits.
7.
Ensures general housekeeping is performed.
Examples are:
Cleaning glass windows and doors, sweeping/mopping floors, trash removal, dusting product bottles and cleaning fixtures/shelves.
Maintains backroom area in inventory categories.
Ensures sweeping floor and disposal of cardboard boxes.
8.
Performs other duties as assigned by market or corporate managers.
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Requirements:
1.
Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a retail store operation.
2.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
3.
Must be full time employee.
4.
Two to four years experience in retail sales 5.
High school diploma or equivalent Job Type:
