Attendants will provide a positive experience for Odessa College Downtown visitors by maintaining the park's overall appearance.
Attendants will work four, five hours shifts per week, as well as special, scheduled events.
Odessa College Downtown is open Memorial Day through Labor Day 9 am until 9 pm and Labor Day until Memorial Day 9 am until 7 pm.
Closed Mondays.
Specific Position Duties Regularly inspect and maintain the Odessa College Downtown facilities to ensure they are clean, safe, and in good working condition.
Tasks may include trash collection, cleaning restrooms, checking equipment for hazards, and reporting maintenance issues Act as a friendly and approachable point of contact for Odessa College Downtown visitors.
Provide assistance and information regarding rules and regulations Monitor Odessa College Downtown activities and enforce rules to ensure the safety and well-being of all visitors.
Recognize potential safety hazards and report incidents to physical plant or Odessa College Police Department as necessary Assist with organizing and facilitating Odessa College Downtown events and activities.
This may involve setting up equipment, coordinating with vendors, helping with event logistics, etc.
Work closely with Odessa College Police Department to monitor and deter illegal or disruptive activities Provide excellent customer service to Odessa College Downtown visitors Ensure that any park equipment including games, splash pad, picnic tables, and trash receptacles, are well-maintained and functional Carry out other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and responsibly Ability to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Part-time hours are 19 hours per week.
