Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant

Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; help patient reach his maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities

Conduct therapy programs for each patient, involving physical means, such as exercise, mobility training, massage, heat, water, and electricity, as prescribed by physician and directed by Physical Therapist.

Direct and aid patient in active and passive exercises, muscle reeducation, and gait and functional training, utilizing pulleys and weights, steps, and inclined surfaces.

Educate / Instruct patients and families in safe transfers, ambulation, posture control and appropriate therapeutic exercises and other therapeutic goals.

Education/
Experience:

Current PTA license to practice in state of employment.
