Sports Equipment - Assistant Buyer - Stream (79707) - WorkInSports (Midland, TX)
Description Works as part of the Category Management Team with the Buyer, Planner, Replenishment Analyst, Forecast Analyst, Ecomm merchandiser, and Space Planner to manage inventory and plans Assumes primary responsibility for executing all pricing (EDLP, Promo, 1stclearance marks, Advertised promotions, and Ad entry into RPM) Responsible for ad proofing and RPM updates as required Recaps and analyzes product, category, and store performance Shops and recaps competition regularly Assists with vendor allowance negotiation Assists Category Manager in all aspects of Line Review process Performs size scaling as needed Initiates item definition as needed Determine initial (What-If) order quantities Assists with Impact Area execution Works with Sourcing team on private label development Prepares re-orders, fill-ins, and closeout orders as needed Works with Supplier reps Works with DC and Logistics groups on any supply-chain issues Collects samples for marketing, e-com, and shelf talker images Assists with purchase order monitoring and adjustments as needed Works with Space Planning on POGs Communicates analysis results and recommendations to the Category Management Team Monitors new store performance for adjustments post-opening as needed Domestic travel as required Work with MA team on lists, item, and order maintenance Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Associate s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required.
Bachelor s degree preferred.
At least 2 years of previous related work experience required.
